The hotel has a good sense of community. I have been living here for a while and have a great room. Everything works and I like that the rent is all included. This place is a very convenient place for living being that it’s right in the center of downtown, especially if you don’t have a car. ~ Kyle

The History

The Whiting Hotel was originally built in 1893 under the ownership of Howard Whiting. The hotel originally featured three floors, the first floor had a saloon and store, the second and third levels included the guest rooms and a restaurant. After Howard Whiting the building was passed down a line of owners and is currently owned by Mike Anton. The brick building has been around for hundreds of years and the new renovations made to the Whiting Hotel have created a place where history can flourish with a nuance feel.
